Kathryn Wiltshire is a Senior Research Officer in the Marine Ecosystems program at SARDI Aquatic Sciences and a PhD candidate at the University of Adelaide. Her research covers many aspects of how plants and animals interact with their environments, including the influence of temperature, light, nutrients and climate change of invasive algal growth, potential use of macroalgal culture for nutrient remediation, and investigation of ecophysiological tolerances of a range of organisms. She has also been involved with development of new methods for detection of marine pests in plankton tows using qPCR, marine benthic surveys, and species distribution modelling and mapping.
