
René Campbell is a marine ecology PhD candidate at Flinders University, South Australia. Her research focuses primarily on the population biology and adaptation of the invasive European shore crab, Carcinus sp., in southern Australia. Since completing her Honours in 2015, René has also been working as a research assistant and demonstrator on various marine biology-based projects and topics. Outside of her research, she is a professional visual artist and has been incorporating scientific illustration and communication into her recent commissioned work.
